TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Brandon Leibrandt was named ACC Pitcher of the Week after his dominating performance on the hill against Boston College in the opening game of the series.

Leibrandt led the way as the fifth-ranked Seminoles opened ACC play with a 4-0 shutout victory over the Eagles. Leibrandt tied a career-high by working 8.0 innings as he limited BC to just one hit. The sophomore southpaw no-hit the Eagles for 7.1 innings before John Hennessy singled through the left side of the infield for the Eagles’ only hit of the game. Leibrandt kept the Eagle bats off-balanced throughout the game as only one base runner reached second base and that came in the second inning.

The Alpharetta, Ga., native left the game at the end of the eighth inning after throwing 105 pitches. He finished with three strikeouts and four walks.

On the year, Leibrandt is 4-0 with a 3.33 ERA in four starts as he has recorded 22 strikeouts in 24.1 innings of work.

Leibrandt and the Seminoles are back in action this week as they travel to face Florida on Tuesday, March 12 before heading north to face the University of Maryland for a three-game series in College Park beginning on Friday, March 15
