VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Twenty straight wins. That's the streak the Valdosta State football team is rolling on now, but ask them, and the Blazers aren't really focused on the hoopla. They're focused on winning each game week by week. The next game on the schedule? Delta State, a team that head coach Gary Goff said is big. They'll be physical and they'll be fast.
This is a road game, and it'll be another Gulf South test, and coach is ready to see how his guys handle playing away from home and continue to just focus on themselves.
"We have to be us and that's go there and execute at the highest level," he said Wednesday. "Worry about doing our jobs the best we possibly can each and every play. Not buy into the atmosphere, not buy into who they are, that it's a road trip. Kind of just be locked into our assignment. Really, for most the season, our team's done a really good job of doing that."
Saturday's game is set for a 7:00 kick.
