VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) — Two days post National Signing Day and if you're a Valdosta State fan, you're still pretty giddy about this class. Head coach Gary Goff was pretty pumped when we talked to him Wednesday.

Just a few months ago, the Blazers didn't know if they'd be able to have a class due to budget restraints brought on by COVID-19, but Goff said they found a way.

Overall, Goff said he's excited for what they're bringing to Titletown. He said the recruiting cycle has been a roller coaster ride. A positive? They were able to sign some guys that Division I schools didn't have room for, but roster spots were limited for the Blazers too.

"As exciting as it is, and we are thankful, it's been just as hard talking to some high school coaches and families," he said. "We don't really have a spot right now. We still have time right? As crazy as this football world's gotten, and with the transfer portal and all that stuff, rosters could continue to change. We have no idea on that. Unfortunately, we'll probably be recruiting all the way up to camp!"

Goff said they also added three from the transfer portal. He said those guys are already on campus.
