VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - For the top ranked Valdosta State Blazers, their 23rd straight win didn't come easy. The Blazers topped North Greenville 20-15 in the final minute, but for head coach Gary Goff? A win is a win, and the Blazers are 8-0.
Now this team gets a bit of a break before their final home game next weekend. Valdosta State enjoying a bye week, which gives them time to heal some bumps and bruises and get ready for a really good West Florida team, a team that's 6-1 on the season.
"It'll be senior night for us and all that so it's a big football game for us," said Goff. "There's a lot on the line you have two teams that are undefeated in teh cofnerence. It should be a good task for both programs, but these are the kind of games you play for."
That game is set for November 9th with a 7:00 kickoff.
