VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Another Saturday resulted in another win for the Valdosta State football team. The Blazers won their 22nd straight game Saturday in a win over Florida Tech, but it's on to the next one now, and North Greenville is their next opponent.
The Blazers were electric in that win over the Panthers, putting up a season high 642 yards of offense. Brian Saunds set a school record for receiving yards in a single game. Things are clicking for this team. They're seven games in, and head coach Gary Goff said it's simply all about being comfortable.
"The chemistry is there, the trust, I trust them to go out there and execute and work hard and they trust we're putting them in the best situation we possibly can," he said Wednesday. "I think you're seeing that. I've been very pleased with how they've responded in games. We have had some games where they've been close right there even going into the fourth quarter and there's been no panic, it's just hey coach that's what we're seeing. Let's get out there and attack."
Valdosta State looks for that 23rd straight victory Saturday against North Greenville. Kick-off is at 4:00.
