Blazers headed to DII Football Championship

VALDOSTA, Ga. — The NCAA Division II Football Committee announced Sunday the field of 28 teams for the 2019 NCAA Division II Football Championship.

Valdosta State has a first round bye for the Division II Football Championship. The Blazers' first game will be at home on November 30th. They face the winner of Wingate and West Florida.

Slippery Rock, Ferris State, and Minnesota State Mankato join the Blazers in having first round byes.

The Blazers defeated Ferris State last year to clinch the championship.

The championship game will be played December 21, at 3 p.m. Eastern time at McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, Texas.
