TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — Tallahassee Community College men's basketball program has helped many young men go on to Division I basketball. Tuesday afternoon was no different for the eagles, as two of their very own signed to play at a higher level.

Kailex Stephens signed at Indiana State University while his teammate, Yahel Hill signed with Cleveland State University.

Stephens is originally from Tuscaloosa, and now living in Florida, the north will be a bit of a shock for the southern basketball player, but he explained that he's ready. He explained that it was hard to say no to Indiana State. "They wanted me there, they felt like I could be a vital piece for their offense and defense. They think that I will be an immediate impact player just coming up and rebounding and playing hard."

For Hill, one big reason he signed with Cleveland State is because he's from Cleveland, Ohio. "The support I had from my family, teachers, the community. I wanted to get back to that." Hill added, "I just like the vision that Coach Gates, first year there, the vision he has for the program and for me, so that's another reason why."

Hill, Stephens, and the rest of the team will be at Albany Technical College Wednesday night. Then, the eagles will be back home for the Capitol Classic this weekend.
