TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State and the ACC still have hopes for a fall season after the Big 10 and the Pac 12 postponed fall sports on Tuesday.
The Seminoles aren't wavering, they are confident they can play.
Head football coach Mike Norvell joined FSU leaders and Governor Ron Desantis on Tuesday to express their support of playing this fall and their ability to do so safely.
Norvell said he feels for athletics in conferences that have canceled fall sports and he's thankful for now that the ACC plans to play.
"It's difficult for any student-athlete when the opportunity to play and all they've worked for when it's taken away," said Norvell. "I'm very grateful for our administration and the ACC and the in-depth research they're doing to make sure we have all the information before a final decision
is made."
The Seminoles are currently scheduled to open the season at home against Georgia Tech on September 12.
