TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Fall camp begins this week for the Florida State football team and in the final days before the Seminoles begin preparation for the 2020 season Janarius Robinson headed back to his hometown to give back.

J-Rob, as he's known, was back in Panama City this weekend holding a community-wide backpack giveaway.

The Red Shirt senior defensive end planned to host another free football clinic like he did last summer, of course, COVID-19 rerouted things.

With some help from the Panama City Quality of Life Department, Robinson, and his organization Win Within gave away 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to kids with the hope to set them up for success this school year.

"Just giving back to the community and the community I grew up in, a community that poured into me," said Robinson. "I just want to be able to pour back into the community the same way and show my supporters I appreciate them."

Robinson and the 'Noles kick off fall camp this week, and for coverage of the Seminoles as they gear up for the 2020 season be sure to keep it locked right here to ABC 27.
