TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State football player Jammie Robinson said in a tweet Friday morning that his family home in Leesburg, Ga. had burned down Thursday night.

According to a Lee County Fire Department spokesperson, the fire happened in the 200 block of Creekside Drive, with the initial call coming in at 9:16 p.m.

The spokesperson also told ABC 27 that residents were inside but were able to get out in time and no one was injured.

The fire department said that they believe the fire started in the kitchen, and once crews arrived, the blaze was under control in 20 minutes.

Robinson posted a video of the devastation to his Twitter account Friday evening.

Robinson is a redshirt sophomore defensive back who recently transferred from the University of South Carolina in early January 2021.

Robinson has started a GoFundMe to help his mother out and has more than $8,700 of its $10,000 goal.
