TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Florida State University women's basketball team is adding a familiar face to their coaching staff. Former player turned graduate assistant Morgan Toles is now a full-time assistant coach for the Seminoles.
She comes from Kent State where she mentored the team's point guards for the past four seasons. Toles will serve in the same role for her Alma Mater and says it's still a little surreal to be back in Tallahassee.
"When you play somewhere and you have a great experience and then you go off and you coach, it's always in the back of your mind you kind of always think about it," said Toles. "I loved where I was at, I was very much invested in Kent State and then I got the call and I was like, 'oh my gosh, this is really happening.' It's cool to see it come full circle, kind of where I was and kind of where I am now."
Toles spent two seasons playing at FSU. She is also one of just eight Seminoles to record 10+ assists multiple times in a season.
