TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Earlier this month, the NCAA canceled fall sports championships but even with all the uncertainty still on the horizon, the Florida State volleyball team is staying optimistic.

Head coach Chris Poole said they're controlling what they can control. The players are back and they're training for a season, whatever and however that may look like.

They have a schedule of 10 games, but he's had to remind everyone things can certainly change.

"Schools that have started back on campus are having problems with being able to control [COVID-19]," said Poole. "To me, that doesn't really surprise me. It shouldn't surprise anyone that college students may not always make the best decisions. The fact that some of this blowing up, I think, 'Duh! What did you expect?' I think we'll have to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks."

The schedule is designed with FSU playing just four other schools, rotating every other weekend until all 10 matches are played.
