TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Florida State football team is a little over two weeks out from their first game of the season, and on Thursday the Seminoles are taking the day off from the practice field.

Head coach Mike Norvell says the first thing he was excited about doing was taking his daughter to school.

Though they may not be on the field, they're making personnel decisions, something Norvell said has been a constant this week.

Also on the agenda is game-planning for that week-one opponent in Georgia Tech.

"There's a lot of work that went in during the quarantine over a wide variety of opponents, Georgia Tech was not one of those," said Norvell. "Now that they're the season opener, we'll get some time to get to study them, just get some preliminary thoughts. Through the rest of this week, all of our focus is going to be on our continued development, working on our guys and finding the things we're doing best and different variations and ways that we can showcase that."
