TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - The Florida State volleyball team is at home Wednesday night, and while everyone's talking about rivalry week for this Florida State football team, that rivalry carried right on over to court.
Miami's coming to town Saturday, but you can get that hate for the Hurricanes going early, as Wednesday the Seminole volleyball team hosts the 'Canes. It's a big match for bragging rights, but also in the A-C-C, and this team focused on getting a win.
"We have to be able to play on our side of the net with control and confidence," said head coach Chris Poole. "It doesn't really matter who's on the other side. Volleyball is a sport to where if you're making mistakes, you're scoring points for the opponent."
"At the end of the day, when you go into that match you can say all you want about rivalries and stuff like that, but at the end of the day, they're a worthy opponent," said redshirt freshman Morgan Chacon. "You have to expect their best and you have to put your best out there."
Wednesday's match starts at 7:00.
