Rattlers trounce Aggies 71-57, extends home winning streak to 12

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FAMU ATHLETICS) — Revenge was on the menu as Florida A&M handed North Carolina A&T its first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference loss, dominating the Aggies 71-57 on Saturday inside the Al Lawson Center.

The victory also extended FAMU's home winning streak to 12.

Senior forward, Bryce Moragne, tallied a double-double scoring 10 points while snagging 14 rebounds, three assists and two steals leading the winning effort for FAMU.

Four other Rattlers scored in double-figures. DJ Jones scored 12 points while Jalen Speer and Evins Desir each added 11. Trejan Davis contributed a career-high 10 points.

The Rattlers put together another solid defensive outing, holding A&T to just 28.8 percent shooting from the field (19-of-66).

Carrying a 32-25 lead into the half, FAMU seized complete control of the contest in the second period. The Rattlers outpaced the Aggies building a commanding 22-point lead (59-37) with 7:06 left to play.

Florida A&M connected on 29-of-67 shots (43.3 percent) and collected a season-high 50 rebounds.
