DURHAM N.C. (FAMU ATHLETICS) — Florida A&M erased a 13-point second deficit to muscle its way to a 65-58 victory over North Carolina Central at the McDougald-McLendon Arena on Wednesday night.

Four Rattlers scored in double-figures to help lead to Rattlers to victory.

MJ Randolph and Kameron Reaves led the scoring effort for FAMU, both scoring 13 points apiece. Randolph also snagged nine rebounds with three assists and two steals while Reaves added five rebounds with two assist and two steals.

Senior forward Bryce Moragne notched a 10-point, 12 rebound double-double for the Rattlers with three steals and one block.

Jalen Speer also scored in double-figures scoring 10 points with three assists, three rebounds and one steal. DJ Jones grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with eight points, one assist and one steal.

While trailing 43-30, FAMU turned the tide in the contest embarking on an 18-3 run sparked by an alley-oop from Speer to Jones with 16:31 left to play. The run gave the Rattlers a 48-46 lead with 11:26 remaining.

The Rattlers wouldn't relinquish the lead the rest of the way to claim FAMU's first victory at NCCU since Jan. 7, 2012.

FAMU held NCCU to just 19.2 percent shooting (5-of-26) from the field in the second half. For the game the Rattlers limited the Eagles to 32.8 percent shooting (20-of-61). In contrast, FAMU shot 42.3 percent (22-of-52)

The Rattlers also dominated the glass, out-rebounding the Eagles 45-32.
