TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Dream Marketing Group and Florida A&M University students tried out different smoothies while letting their audience know what they think on a live stream. It's an effort to highlight African-American-owned restaurants during black history month.
"I personally think that it's more important to showcase black businesses especially for black history month as a way to give appreciation to smaller businesses, businesses in our local community and businesses that just need extra support," said FAMU student Skylar Warren.
"Bite of Brown" week continues Wednesday at Leola's crab shack.
