The Tallahassee Police Department is continuing to investigate the three-vehicle officer-involved traffic crash that occurred on Aug. 25 at the intersection of Thomasville Road and Killarney Way.
Preliminary investigative efforts reveal an officer was responding to a weapons incident in emergency mode while traveling northbound on Thomasville Road. As the officer approached the intersection with lights and sirens activated, he slowed down to under 15 mph before cautiously proceeding through the red light, in accordance with TPD policy. The officer was subsequently impacted by another vehicle traveling westbound through the intersection from Killarney Way. The vehicle then collided with a third vehicle at the intersection.
No serious injuries were sustained in the crash. The roadway was shut down to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident.
At this time, the case is open and active and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

Tallahassee Police Department confirms a Tallahassee Police Department SUV was involved in a three vehicle crash at the intersection of Thomasville Road and Maclay Rd., Sunday afternoon. TPD confirmed on Twitter, there are no significant injuries reported as a result of the crash.

The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a crash at the intersection of Thomasville Road and Maclay Road.
Thomasville Road southbound is closed and Leon County deputies are diverting traffic at Ox Bottom Road.
Traffic is flowing normally on northbound Thomasville Road.
