TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)- A group of outdoor enthusiatsts are hopeful to get enough support to make changes to Tallahassee's Lake Ella.

The group seeking this newfound change is called Ella-vate.

One of Ella-vate's representatives Casey Cook says they're trying to raise awareness about the need for the improvement of Lake Ella. The changes include more nightime lighting, a playground for children and landscaping.

"We developed a survey that had three components. We did an online survey that had about 600 people take it. It generated 1,600 short answer responses and 4200 multiple choice responses. We then took hard copies and talked with all the businesses around Lake Ella and asked them to both fill out our survey," said Casey Cook.

The group is hopeful that they can work with Tallahassee Parks and Recreation to get these changes into full action.
