LIVE OAK, FL (WTXL) -- A vigil was held for a little boy who was missing for days in Live Oak.

Nine year old Leo Walker was found dead over the weekend and family and friends gathered to remember him.

The memorial stood near the home of Leo. There were candles burning the same day authorities say they used DNA analysis to identify his body. Leo is autistic.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a statewide missing child alert for him after he went missing last week. Hundreds of people and several agencies scoured the streets in search for him. His body was found Friday, less than a half a mile from his home. FDLE is continuing to investigate.

Funeral arrangements are underway.
