Victim in fatal Tallahassee stabbing identified

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Leon County Sheriff's Office has opened up a death investigation after responding to a stabbing late Thursday morning.

LCSO says the incident happened Thursday in the 5000 block of Matthew Carter Court, which is on the northwest side of Tallahassee.

Around 11:44 a.m., deputies went to a home in the area where a man had been stabbed. They say first responders tried to save the man, but he passed away from his wounds at the scene.

That man has been identified as 27-year-old Joseph Jackson.
