VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Valdosta State University is getting nationally recognized for its online education programs.

According to the U.S. News and World Report's 2019 Best Online Programs, the rankings show VSU at number 137 for 2019 Best Online Bachelor's Programs, and at number 139 for 2019 Best Online Graduate Education Programs.

The college offers more than 60 online programs that include bachelor's, master's, specialist, doctoral degrees and more.

This is the eighth year VSU has been recognized for its online achievments.

To make the list, U.S. News and World Report looked at student excellence, engagement, and faculty credentials just to name a few.

Dr. Bernard Oliver, dean of the James L. and Dorothy H. Dewar College of Education and Human Services commented, saying in part, "It is an honor to be acknowledged as one of the top colleges in the United States providing online degrees and courses. This is a true testimony of the dedication and commitment of the faculty to develop educational programs that address the educational needs of a diverse population."
