VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta State Prison is hoping to welcome some new recruits.
The Georgia Department of Labor is helping Valdosta State Prison recruit correction officers, and they are holding an event in the Valdosta Career Center on Ashley Street to make it happen.
To qualify as a correctional officer you must be at least 18 years-old, a U.S. citizen, have no felony convictions, and be able to pass a physical training test.
The event will be Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
