VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - The Valdosta man accused of shooting and killing another man Tuesday made his first court appearance Wednesday.

Jean-Claude Doricien, 31, is charged with shooting and killing Tovara Flowers, 39.

Valdosta police say a fight between the two led to the shooting in the Ora Lee West Housing Complex.

Police say a city surveillence video caught the suspect on camera running from that area.

Flowers was rushed to the South Georgia Medical Center after being shot multiple times but later died.

Doricien is being held at the Lowndes County Jail.
