VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Valdosta police say a woman found shot to death on Baytree Road wasn't the victim of a random act.
The body of 42-year-old Tawyna Kinslow was discovered around 3:30 p.m. on August 12. Police say she suffered a single gunshot wound.
Police say they believe Kinslow knew the person who shot her. They say they have two persons of interest, and they are following all leads.
Due to the fact that Baytree Avenue is close to Valdosta State University's campus, police are addressing concerns that the incident involves the school's students or faculty. They say Kinslow's death is not related to VSU.
