UPDATE: Investigators search river for missing teen

BROOKS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--Lowndes County and Brooks County sheriff deputies have called of the search for a missing teen.

Investigators were searching the Little River in Valdosta looking for 19-year old Nathanial Wilkins.

This after a fisherman found clothing and a note from Wilkins near Morven Road.

Deputies are now saying they have reason to believe he is not in the river and is in fact alive.

Wilkins was last seen Thursday after family members dropped him off to class at Valdosta State University.

BROOKS COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL)--Investigators are searching the Little River for a missing teenager.

Investigators with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office say 19-year old Nathanial Wilkins was was last seen Thursday when his family members dropped him off for class at Valdosta State University.

Deputies say Monday a person fishing from the banks of the Little River found some clothing and a note from Wilkins near Morven Road.

Right now deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, Brooks County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Natural Resources are searching for him near the Lowndes and Brooks county line.
