UPDATE: Inmate Escapes Gadsden County Jail Sunday Night

UPDATE: QUINCY, Fla. (AP) Authorities have captured a murder suspect who escaped from the Gadsden County Jail Sunday evening.

Gadsden County Sheriff's Office Maj. Robert Barkley said Gregory Sapp Jr., 24, was caught by K-9 dogs on Pat Thomas Parkway in Quincy.

According to the Tallahassee Democrat (http://on.tdo.com/1JraUWJ ), Barkley said Sapp was in the recreational yard of the Gadsden County Jail about 6 p.m. when he pulled up a wire fence from the bottom and escaped underneath.

The sheriff's office alerted the family of his former live-in girlfriend, Keyonda Collier, 33, who Sapp is charged with killing.

On April 21, Collier's birthday, officers found her dead in a West Clark Street home in Quincy with hands and feet bound. Two children were found bound and gagged inside as well. They survived.

UPDATE: QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Gadsden Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Greg Sapp, Jr. has been located as of 9:30pm Sunday evening. 

QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL)-- The Gadsden Sheriff's Office needs the public's help in locating a missing inmate.

Greg Sapp, Jr. escaped from the Gadsden County Jail Sunday evening. He is wearing an orange jail jumper and was last seen in the area behind Wal-Mart on Pat Thomas Parkway in Quincy.

Anyone with information concerning Sapp's whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.
