SARASOTA, FL (WWSB) - Sarasota police are cracking down on unlicensed doctors on the Suncoast.

The investigation began with an anonymous complaint to the department of health. Ronald E. Wheeler was arrested at his office and charged with unlicensed practice of a health care professional.
The doctor's license was revoked in April after he diagnosed patients with prostate cancer without performing a biopsy.
Wheeler's medical offices were located on Main Street. The department is asking anyone who may have been a patient of Wheeler's to contact them immediately.
