TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - University students and will hold a press conference on Mar. 3 to send a message to the Florida Senate that they do not want guns in K-12 schools.

The students believe that the Marshal Plan and any plan that arms teachers and includes increased police presence in schools will only increase the Zero Tolerance school system in Florida.

Students don't want to see an escalation in the school-to-prison pipeline and violence against black and brown youth.

The press conference will take place Mar. 3 at 9:15 a.m. on the Capital Plaza Courtyard outside between Old and New Capitol.
