TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Two Tallahassee teens accused of robbing a victim at gunpoint and stealing her car have been arrested.

The Tallahassee Police Department says they arrested a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, identified as Josiah Yant-Barber, for an armed carjacking over the weekend.

They say they were called to the 1800 block of West Call Street around 9:24 p.m. about the crime. The victim told police she had been robbed at gunpoint by two black males.

TPD says the car was immediately spotted by an officer on Lake Bradford Road, who stopped the car. They say the suspects took off in the stolen car, driving to Jack Mclean Park before they got out and ran into the neighborhood behind the park.

Officers found the teens hiding out in a yard on Prospect Street and arrested them. Police confiscated a 9mm handgun during the teens' arrest.

Yant-Barber was taken to the Leon County Jail while the 17-year-old was processed at the Juvenile Assessment Center. Both were charged with robbery carjacking with firearm and resisting officer without violence.
