VALDOSTA, GA (WTXL) -- Two inmates are dead after starting a fire in their cell.
According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, the incident happened Tuesday at Valdosta State Prison.
The two inmates who were killed in the fire are Cody Vestal and Richard Strickland.
Officials haven't released any other details about how the pair fire started. The incident is currently still under investigation.
Lee was serving a life sentence for murder and had been at the prison since October of 2015. Strickland was serving a 20-year-sentence for multiple burglaries. He had been at the prison since 2009.
