JEFFERSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Three people are dead after a two-car accident in Jefferson County Sunday morning.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, around 6:42 a.m. on Sunday, Gunn Phillips, 82, of Dade City, was traveling in the wrong direction on U.S. Highway 27.
Christina Graddy, 32, of Crawfordville, and an 8-year-old passenger, were also traveling on U.S. Highway 27 approaching Phillips' car, resulting in a head-on collision.
FHP says, the crash resulted in Phillips' car catching on fire.
All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP states Graddy and the 8-year-old passenger were not wearing their seatbelts.
FHP says they are also investigating to see if alcohol was a factor in this accident.
