TPD arrest suspect involved in shooting incident in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department arrested Vantrell Paulisaint in connection to a shooting incident that occurred on Wednesday, July 26 on 2020 West Pensacola Street. 

After reviewing evidence and interviewing witnesses, investigators with the Violent Crimes Unit were able to bring this case to a close. 

During the course of the investigation, TPD discovered the shooting occurred as a result of an argument between three men. Paulisaint pointed a gun at two men, Jeterius Williams and Izell Gentle, while they were in the parking lot.

Williams then fired a shot at Paulisaint in self-defense. The bullet struck a bystander, while she was in her car.

Paulisaint is facing the following charges: 

  • 2 counts Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon without Intent to Kill pursuant to Florida Statute
