Three Dead After Car Crashes Into Lake Talquin

Tallahassee, Fla. (WTXL)--Leon County Sheriff’ Office is investigating the deaths of three people after their car crashed into Lake Talquin. 

According to the Leon County Sheriff's Office; at approximately 1:15 a.m., witnesses observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed drive into Lake Talquin at the Coe Landing boat ramp.

The Leon County Sheriff's office believes the driver, Larry Hall was unfamiliar with the road when he sped off of the boat ramp. 

As the vehicle was sinking into the water Hall along with his three passengers Pierce Deon Wood Jr, M'Brese Petty and Takara Holmes were seen trying to escape. Witnesses were able to help Holmes to safety however; LSCO says Hall, Wood, and Petty drowned. 

Holmes was transported to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for examination and

observation. 

The investigation is ongoing.
