Thousands of Leon County Voters Cast Ballots Before Election Day

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- We're just one day away from Election Day, but thousands have already voted.

Early voting in Florida ended on Saturday, and in Leon County, more 47,000 voters have already cast a ballot.

Of that, 41 percent were by mail, and nearly 59 percent of the votes were cast at early voting polling sites.

The largest turnout actually came on the last day of early voting, with more than 4,000 people turning out.

The polls open Tuesday at 7 a.m.
