TALLAHASSEE, Fla.-- "The Shelter" plans to begin a new study of how to make improvements. Board members of "The Shelter" and members of the United Way requested more evaluation of protocols, policies and procedures. They will meet with expert homeless shelter consultants on Monday April 8.

This is happening after allegations of poor conditions and mistreatment surfaced in February 2013. A blogger claimed she went undercover and witnessed neglect. She also says an employee asked her for sex.

Since then, two employees have been fired and Director Mel Eby has resigned after being placed on administrative leave.

The Tallahassee Police Department also conducted their own investigation, but determined complaints to be unfounded.
