LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A house fire Saturday night marked the third residential fire response in two days for the Tallahassee Fire Department.
TFD and the Lake Talquin Volunteer Fire Department were called a residence on the 8400 block of Bay Cedar Drive at 10 p.m.
Leon County deputies rescued a disabled resident from the heavy smoke and fire from inside the house. Firefighters also rescued two dogs.
The fire started from a window-mounted A/C-heating unit.
Paramedics treated two residents for smoke inhalation. One was taken to a local hospital.
Crews were able to put to the fire out. The damage is estimated to be $10,000. The Red Cross is assisting the residents.
