TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Several development projects in the Capital City are expected to be completed in 2019.

WTXL ABC 27's Stephen Jiwanmall offered a preview in a Building Tallahassee report.

It might be a new year, but the same sounds of construction can be heard around Tallahassee.

Some of those projects are expected to be completed this year.

The big one is the MT Mustian Center.

Tallahassee Memorial's $250 million project broke ground in June 2016.

Mark O'Bryant, the CEO of Tallahassee Memorial, commented on March 1, 2017.

"It is going to be a state-of-the-art complex, something that will really differentiate TMH, not just in this region, but across the country," he said.

The 340,000-square foot facility is expected to open in the spring.

This month, Proof Brewing Company plans to officially move to their location on South Monroe Street.

Not far from there, Catalina Cafe is also set to open a new location this year.

More student housing will be ready later this year. That includes The Standard Tallahassee in Frenchtown.

The apartment complex is now leasing for Fall 2019.

The same goes for Stadium Centre - The Flex on Gaines Street.

While students will find more housing for them, so will senior citizens.

Canterfield of Tallahassee broke ground in 2018. Its Facebook page claims it will open in 2019, offering luxury living on Tharpe Street.

Of course, there are several more projects that won't be done in 2019, but should be in 2020. They include the Cascades Project downtown, Hotel Indigo in CollegeTown, and Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Market Square.
