TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Tallahassee Start-Up Week is up and running through this Friday.

During the week, aspiring entrepreneurs learn techniques and strategies from other successful entrepreneurs specializing in different fields.

The combination of useful resources and talent from the universities is creating opportunities for start-up companies right here in the Capital City.

With the new Jim Moran School of Entrepreneurship at Florida State offering classes this fall, Tallahassee is becoming an innovative community.

"This is a growing school, as well as a city, and I think the school of entrepreneurs has opened up a lot of doors," said Armonda Davis, a student entrepreneur. "I hear there will even be classes for musicians who want to have their own business, people who want to go into sales, people who want to go into social entrepreneurship."

The school will open doors for students considering a career in the field.
