TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Tallahassee will hold a Greek Unity Weekend on July 21-23.
The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated (NPHC) is currently composed of nine (9) International Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
July's event is aimed at celebrating the unity of these groups. The following is a schedule of events:
- Friday, June 21 - Greek Mixer - The Wine Loft
- Saturday, June 22 - Greek Picnic - FAMU Student Recreation Center Pavilion
- Sunday, June 23 - TNPHC Unity Workshop Service - Tabernacle MB Church
Tallahassee NPHC is also partnering with the Capital Area Healthy Start Coalition and Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church to bring awareness on preconception and interconception health and how it affects infant mortality, especially in minority communities.
