TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The Tallahassee Police Department has unveiled a car to promote the WTXL Turkey Drive. The event, taking place on November 20th, gives people the opportunity to make someone's Thanksgiving a little brighter.

TPD unveiled the car Friday. Jharonte James, from TPD, says the car is a way to show support for this event: "We're just really excited to be apart this new venture that we're going to be having for Thanksgiving."

Together with Tallahassee Police, the Downtown Business Association, and America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend, the WTXL Turkey Drive is giving people the chance to help out those in need by donating a frozen, store-bought turkey or money.

If you choose to donate money, that allows the food bank to expand their buying power, and one dollar in cash equals four dollars of buying power. Every dollar goes a long way.

The event will be at Ponce De Leon Park in Tallahassee. WTXL will be broadcasting live from the park from 5am to 6:30pm.

Too cold to get out of the car? Don't worry! All you need to do is pull up, and we'll collect your donations.
