TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A proactive patrol around High Road led police to arrest a man for a stolen car as well as weapons and drug charges.

Henry Ezell was arrested on Tuesday.

The Tallahassee Police Department say they were conducting a proactive patrol in the 1000 block of High Road. Eventually, officers stopped to talk with a suspicious looking man, identified later as Ezell.

When approached, police say Ezell was standing next to a vehicle later found to be stolen out of Georgia and was in possession of a motorcycle that had an altered vehicle identification number (VIN).

He told police that he was trying to lock up the motorcycle for his friend.

When they searched Ezell, they found a loaded handgun on his person. A second handgun, along with illegal drugs to include methamphetamine, Buprenorphine, and drug paraphernalia were found in the stolen vehicle with his belongings.

He was arrested without incident and transported to the Leon County Jail where he remains without bond.

Ezell has been charged with carrying a concealed firearm, grand theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a vehicle with altered serial numbers, possession of methamphetamine, possession of opium, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ezell has previously been convicted for possession of flakka, so he is also being charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
