TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Linemen are continuing to work on restoring power to everyone, and a local group of girls is showing appreciation.
Tallahassee Girl Scout Troop #26 spent Wednesday night and Tuesday night writing "thank you" notes to as many as 700 of the line-workers and first responders who've come from all over the country and spent the last week helping Tallahassee residents in relief efforts following Hurricane Michael.
The letters will be given to local hotels to put under the doors of line-workers and first responders, who are staying at their hotels.
The girls say they came up with the idea to show their gratitude for all the hard work these volunteers have done.
That's not all these 7th and 8th grade girls are doing.
They will also be going to Blountstown on Saturday to one of the distribution centers to deliver supplies and help the center sort items that have been donated over the past few days.
