TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Tallahassee family was featured in a documentary about losing their loved ones to COVID-19.
The nonprofit Brave New Films embarked on creating this documentary after seeing the rising rates of death because of the virus.
The President and Founder Robert Greenwald said he interviewed this family to be able to give the statistics a voice.
"You pick up the newspaper and you see 50,000, 75,000, or a 100,000 deaths. It’s horrible, but it’s a number," Greenwald said. "What we have with Maddie and her grandparents is something that is deeply human, that is each one of us, in a different shape or form, and she and her father and family represent that, and we thought it was a strong way to tell the story of COVID."
