TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - All 65 adoptable dogs at the Tallahassee Animal Services Center will need to find emergency foster homes before July 5, when the aging kennels at the shelter are scheduled to be demolished.

The dogs will be allowed to return to the service center by July 14.

For those who step up to foster the dogs, the shelter will provide a crate, any medicines the dog may need, food, bowls, and even a collar and leash.

The shelter is asking for anyone who is able to take in one of the dogs to step up and save a life. "We have about 65 dogs that we're looking to get fostered during that time", said Erika Leckington, Director of Tallahassee Animal Services, "That number could go up. And so it's really important that we have as many people as we can come out and foster those dogs... Essentially we're just looking for families to love them and nurture them in the meantime. And if they want to keep them, they can keep them, free of charge."

Below, you can find instructions to sign up to foster one of the animals.
