BRADENTON, FL (WWSB) - Officers with the Bradenton Police department have arrested a student they say wrote a note threatening to shoot other students at Manatee High School.
In a press release, BPD stated that with the help of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, detectives were able to identify and charge a 14-year-old Manatee High School freshman in connection to a threatening note found at the school last week.
The investigation began when a student found a note containing a threat to do violence to persons at the school on Thursday, Feb. 15, just one day after the tragic incident in a Parkland, FL high school.
The young student is charged with False Report concerning the use of a firearm in a violent manner, a second-degree felony.
