CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Nine corrections officers are on administrative leave following the death of an inmate at the Charlotte County Correctional Institution.
Inmate Matthew Walker's death was reported last month. Two state agencies are looking into his death.
According to the Florida Department of Corrections, five sergeants and four correctional officers have been put on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
No word on what caused Walker's death.
