TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- If you've ever wanted to sit down and talk with some of the "local leaders" of Tallahassee, you might want to keep reading.
The Village Square is putting on an event this week called "Speed Date Your Local Leaders." Up to seven citizens will sit down to talk with a local leader for seven minutes before the group switches to another leader. This will repeat 17 times.
Tallahassee City Manager Anita Favors Thompson, TPD Police Chief Dennis Jones, Leon County School Superintendent Jackie Pons, School Board Member Dee Dee Rasmussen, four Leon County Commissioners, County Manager Vince Long and three Tallahassee City Commissioners will be on hand.
There is no charge to participate in this event; however, you do have to register online.
The event will be this Thursday, April 11 at 5:30 p.m., at St. John's Episcopal Church.
