The breakdown works out to two shootings every day for the past three days. Many of the shootings occurred during the early morning hours of the day.
Contrary to popular belief, the shooting locations are all spread out, though they seem to be concentrated on the west side of Tallahassee.
City commissioner Curtis Richardson says the violence is overshadowing the good things happening in Tallahassee.
"It's certainly no reflection upon the city itself. We are going to redouble our efforts as a city, working with law enforcement from the county and the state and the universities to see what we can do to rid this community of this kind of violence," said Richardson.
Authorities have not made arrests in any of the shootings. The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating five of those shootings while the Leon County Sheriff's Office is investigating one.
