SPRING HILL, Fla. (WTXL) — Six people have been hospitalized in serious condition after a vehicle crashed into a Beef 'O' Brady's restaurant in Spring Hill on Tuesday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:40 p.m. in Spring Hill.
They say a 63-year-old woman lost control of her 2007 Saturn sedan and left the road, hopping a curb before careening into the Beef 'O' Brady's. The car completely entered the restaurant, hitting five adult patrons inside.
Troopers say the car also side-swiped a truck and crashed into a parked car during the incident.
The driver of the Saturn and all five restaurant patrons have been transported to area hospitals with serious injuries. Our sister station WFTS reports that one of the injured was airlifted from the scene as a trauma alert patient.
FHP is continuing to investigate this incident.
